April 21 Queen Elizabeth UK London

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and her other realms was born in London in 1926.

Many places have been part of those ‘other realms’ over the course of history. But never the lands of Italy, where emperor Romulus founded Rome in 753 BC.

The lands around the famous Scottish Loch Ness are though. And it was there that a legendary photograph was taken. The “Surgeon’s Photograph“, the most famous photo allegedly showing the Loch Ness Monster, was published in the Daily Mail on this day in 1934. And 65 years later, in 1999, it is revealed to be a hoax.

Hoaxes are a fascinating phenomenon that have been around for ages. We’d love to hear the thoughts on this topic from German sociologist Max Weber (*1864).

Have actors Andie MacDowell (*1958) and James McAvoy (*1979) ever been hoaxed?
If so, novelist & poet Charlotte Brontë (*1816) could have written a wonderful story about it.

After all, it is World Creativity and Innovation Day today. So let’s get creative!
